About
BoulderHouse is situated in a 5,000 ft2 facility that features the 100ft long Bouldering World Cup wall used at the 2015 World Cup in Toronto. With varied simple angles, we transform the face of the wall with over 70 Dimension Volumes every time we set. BoulderHouse is a simple facility, with all the focus on 8 finely crafted bouldering circuits, designed to deliver the very best climbing experience.
At BoulderHouse we invite you to plan your sessions around each complete circuit. We give extra props for people who are able to complete the circuit of their level in one session. We think this a really fun way to climb… but for those who don’t, you can just enjoy each problem for what it is, just like the old days.

Frequently Asked Questions
Planning Your First Visit?
What is Bouldering?
Is Bouldering a good workout?
Less competitive and more social than traditional forms of exercise, bouldering is rapidly growing in popularity. The reason for the exponential growth of bouldering versus traditional roped climbing is its accessibility (anyone can show up and climb with minimal instruction) as well as its proven ability to fuel community, fitness and self-improvement all in a supercharged, supportive, and fun environment.
What happens if I fall?
Our walls are designed to ensure your feet are never more than 10 feet off the ground and our seamless floor padding ensures a large landing zone on thick, comfortable mats. However we do recommend that you become proficient in the use of the crumple fall to help prevent the risk of injury.
Do I need to book or take a lesson?
We welcome all drop-ins without prior appointments. However, we do recommend groups call ahead so that we can be prepared and get you setup and climbing right away. Lessons aren’t always necessary depending on your physicality and abilities. But if you want to get the most out of your session and learn the tools to help you progress the fastest. We suggest booking our Bouldering 101 course.
What do I need to bring/do on my first day?
We provide climbing shoes & chalk for free but we recommend each climber brings:
- Comfortable athletic clothing is recommended
- Socks (to wear in rental shoes)
- Flip flops or sandals to wear around the gym
- A refillable water bottle (though, we do sell a variety of drinks if you forget)
Are kids welcome?
Yes of course!
We ask that kids under the age of 12 be supervised at all times. Our desk staff will help you understand what parents can do to reduce the risks of injury as well as have a fun experience at BoulderHouse.
Parents with Babies! Bouldering parents are welcome to climb at the gym with their baby from 11-4 on weekdays and anytime on weekends. Bouldering is a great activity for parents who are looking after a small child.
